2011 Green Building Conference
Delegates at the Green Building Conference in Johannesburg in June, will have the opportunity to retrofit a building project in real-time with the latest BIM (building information modelling) technology.
Using AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite and Ecotect Analysis software they will analyse the thermal performance of the retrofit, comparing multiple designs in order to select the most energy-efficient one.
The retrofit will be facilitated by a team from design and engineering and software company, Autodesk.
It is the second time the company is participating in the annual event, which this year is being held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, on 13 and 14 July.
In the exhibition being run alongside the conference, Autodesk (stand #G42) will showcase its new Autodesk Building Design Suite, which was released earlier this year.
The Suite is available in three versions - Standard, Premium and Ultimate.
