Revit reaches out with Twitter

Tweets from the Design Brief e-newsletter are keeping the construction sector across Africa abreast of news, developments, tech tips and offers from Autodesk Revit software for building design and engineering professionals.

Currently, posts are spreading the word about advances in the 2011 version of Revit software.

New features for architects facilitate the creation of curved beams and slanted columns, with a simplified Family Editor helping to accelerate design development. Structural engineers, on the other hand, are taking advantage of modelling enhancements, many of which orignated in the international user group (AUGI) wish list. New functionality in Autodesk Revit MEP paves the way for the creation of oval ducts, with the software also boasting a more conveinient 'modeless' Properties Palette.

Twitter has also been highlighting user on-line demos that provide a taste of the 2011 software with an opportunity to book a full demo, or a hands-on session, with a take-away trial version.
